Summary

The current LexiLayer browser-extension build works locally in your browser. It does not collect analytics, does not sell user data, does not use remote AI services, and does not send webpage text to a LexiLayer server.

Data stored in the browser

• Selected languages and settings.
• Allowed or ignored site lists.
• Progress, favorites, notes, review history, and custom words.

This information is stored using browser extension storage associated with your browser profile.

Page access

LexiLayer reads visible webpage text locally so it can perform vocabulary-learning features. The extension is designed to ignore forms, text boxes, code blocks, and certain sensitive login, payment, and financial contexts.

Payments

When paid checkout is enabled, payments are processed by the third-party payment provider shown at checkout. LexiLayer does not need to store your full card number. The payment provider's privacy policy and terms also apply to the transaction.
